The Royal Trek
 
 

Short term hiking are also popular in Nepal. For those, who can not go for such a hard and long Trekking, or for those who are not fit for the same, there are many hiking routes around the valleys and outside.

The Royal Trek

 

This is an easy, short trek that starts from pokhara and offers good mountain views. This trek is a good option if you don't have the time or energy for a longer trek. It takes in the area to the northeast of the valley's other two lakes, Begnas Tal and Rupa Tal. There is no really demanding terrain to be covered and the walk has some excellent views of the Annapurna and Manaslu ramges.it has become known as the Royal Trek after prince Charles walked this route.

Itinerary
 
Day 1:-

Pokhara- kalikasthan [1370 mtr]

Hotel: Tented Camp
Food: B+L+D

Day 2:-

kalikathan to Shyaklung[1730 mtr] After breakfast trek to Syaklung, overnight at tented camp.

Day 3:-

Shyaklung[1730 mtr]- Chisopani;After breakfast trek to Chisapani, overnight at tented camp.

Hotel: Tented camp
Food: B+L+D

Chisopani- Pokhara:. lunch in bank of Begnas lake > with boating in Begnas lake and drive back to Pokhara.

Ghndruk Trek

 

Trip Outline

Ghorepani/Poon Hill(Annapurna Area)
North of Pokhara(930m) - 6-10 Days
Max. Height: (Poon Hill) 3200m.
Drive to Birethanti and walk to Ghandruk and to Ghorepani

Itinerary at a Glance
 
Day 1:-

Arrival in Kathmandu. Transferred to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2:-

Kathmandu- Pokhara. Drive/fly to Pokhara. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 3:-

Pokhara- Ulleri(2070m.): (About 5-6 hours) Trek commences from Birethanti.

Day 4:-

Ulleri(2070m.) - Ghorepani: After 3-4 hours walk we reach at Ghorepani (2860m).

Day 5:-

Ghorepani- Tadapani- Ghandruk (1951m.): we walk through the forest of rhododendron trees down

Day 6:-

Ghandruk-Pokhara: about 5 hours down hill then reach Birethanti, from there we drive to Pokhara.

Day 7:-

Pokhara (930m.)-Kathmandu By drive or fly. It takes about 6-7 hours & 29 minutes by fly.

Shivapuri Trek

 

This is an easy, short trek around the Kathmandu valley that starts from Budhanilakantha and offers good mountain views. This trek is a good option if you don't have the time or energy for a longer trek.
