Trekking routes in Kanchenjunga National
Park starts from Yuksum (the first capital of Sikkim)
on a well beaten Trekking track in form of bridle path
which run through terraced fields of barley and orchrds,
then onto moss-laden lush green forests of pines, firs,
giant magnolias, rhododendron, spruce and orchids- a
naturalists’ paradise. Intermingled with this
are the chirrup, twitter and peeping of exotic Himalayan
birds. As one climbs up with patience and pains, is
rewarded by the main theme of this trek, the close-up
views of the Sikkim mountains –the mighty Kanchedzonga,
regarded the guardian God of Sikkim, the third highest
peak on the planet. Besides the several others of like,
Pandim, Jopono, Narsing and few others surround it.
